I started painting in watercolour in 1991, studying under several excellent instructors.

After searching and struggling many years for my own particular "style", I finally found that my joy came from painting in Pen & Ink Watercolours, especilally architectural subjects.  I was fortunate to obtain critical aclaim for my work and have since had many of my efforts accepted in juried shows.  This has led to producing commissioned portraits of people's homes and businesses(which I call "Sherlock Homes - House Portraits".

I now teach drawing and painting, especially to those who have always wanted to, but have never painted before.  I strongly believe that anyone can paint or draw.  Having  conducted many demonstrations at trade shows and art shows, I have found this to be a wonderful way to introduce newcomers to this exciting past-time.

I am past president of the Port Perry Artist's Association, a group of approximately 50 artists in Ontario, and also member of the Bayview Watercolour Society in the Greater Toronto Area.
Currently, I have been helping a new enthusiastic group get off the ground here in Uxbridge.

Exposure to the Michael Wilcox School of Colour has added new dimensions to my knowledge levels and results.  I always include this in my classes.  It has made such a difference to the excitement of the students. Many of whom are now using the School of Color palettes, paints and brushes with wonderful results.
